USSD Applications: Reaching Every Phone, Not Just Smartphones

USSD is the short numeric menu you dial on a phone, like a code starting with a star and ending with a hash, that works without an internet connection. For many customers in Rwanda, USSD is still the most reliable way to check a balance, make a payment, or answer a quick survey.

HDEV TECH has built USSD applications since 2020, connecting menus to core banking, billing, and CRM systems through secure APIs. A real example: a savings group used a USSD menu we built so members without smartphones could still check their contributions.
